Must do this daily!!

A bit late again lol!

Well been busy over the last couple of days. I've outline all the stuff I've done below.

1. Upgraded my Mac Mini, it now flies by the way. 16GBs of Ram and a 1TB SSHD.

2. Had reinstall all my software lol.

3. Had to tidy up all of my flat because of task number 4, flat has been left and was getting to be a right pain in the bum lol.

4. Been working hard at Rugby 7s training.

Task 4 is really important as this weekend I have my first 7s tournment, which is going to be really good fun :)

The American football season is still pretty tough we have now lost 3 games in a row, not by a huge score. However, we are so much better than last year. I just wish I was a bit more involved as I'm backing up our number 1 running back :(.

Project Eve is going well, my friend Bob who is the writer has give me number of character bios and they are amazing. This will help with the character concept art a lot.

Project Spartan is a new project that I'm trying out. The whole idea is to be ready for a Spartan run in the UK in 2015. My Gfriend is also going to do it and I'm setting out a fitness program for the big Spartan run in 2015 :)

Anyway that's whats I've been up too.

Catch you soon.

Time for a change

Hi

I have done!!! Got mysel a Mac Mini and moving away from Windows. I just had enough of a big PC and the noise it makes.

The Mac Mini will be my work PC which I will use for my artwork and learning. So then I'm now set to work on the Eve projects. Also I'm so happy with this little computer and I can upgrade it too :)

So just a wee update, it's like chess. I'm moving the pieces into place to help me achieve my goals.

Next is the iPhone 6 lol :P

Till tomorrow

G

Well it's been a while.

I'm back!!!!!!!!

Lol it has been a while and I know I should have kept this up but life got the better of me and I've been too busy. However got an iPad mini 2 now and will be able to post on the go.

So the status of the year thus far.

Well I achieve one goal this year in terms of American Football, now back playing in the offence as RB and WR. This means my fitness and health are still going in the correct direction. Still not where I want to be but I'll get there :)

However I haven't made much of impact on developing my other goals this year thus far. So I need to get them back on track :)

So until tomorrow catch you later :)

My New year starts Now

Yes 6 days have pasted!!!

But it's my first day back to work after Christmas and New Year.

So hence the title and my new year really starts now. Mind you I have been out training and found out that Christmas and new year have impacted my fitness. But now the healthy eating and rugby training kicking in this week, plus also American football training starting this month should see the fitness return.

The other thing I did was write a list of goals and objectives for this year, some easy and some that will be tough. But you need to challenge yourself and push yourself onwards.

As the saying goes upwards and onwards.

At presently sitting eating lunch, on my lunch hour. So it's just a short update. Will also be publishing my list later this week :)

Catch you all late

2014 The Prologue: An Evolution rather than a Resolution.

Part 2

2014 The Prologue: An Evolution rather than a Resolution.

Yes it's January and time for "New Year Resolutions", but I had my resolutions or as I put it revolution last year.

This year is all about refining my life style from last year. I did many things and put in place a lot of structure that was missing. Like having a good diet, working out and doing jobs that I kept putting off.

Well this year it's all about challenging myself, building on what I achieved last year setting goals and working towards them. It could be with work, it could be fitness, it could be sports or even my artwork. Whatever I choose to do this year it is all about building up my skills and learning how to beat the challenges that I will face.

Hence a more evolutionary process to this year than a resolution. The reason I think this way is I know I can achieve things . But now it's about making sure I stay focus and maintain what I have done is key. It's not to say I'll not achieve stuff, it just means if I keep focused and improve my skills it will be easier. This is why goals become important than resolutions. Resolutions are usually to big and we all start off well, but sooner or later we fall down.

Now here comes the lame quote moment.

"Why do we fall down, so we can learn to pick ourselves up" - Guess which film lol :)

I know, I know!! But the reason I put this up is because I was watching these films last year and I thought to myself through 2009 to 2011 I had fallen down. Fat and feeling pretty useless. However I knocked the dust off and came up fighting, with a help from a few really good friends.

Last year I listed my resolutions as objectives, like playing linebacker, learning to drive, but they are pretty epic things. It's like me turning around and saying that I'll be playing flanker for the 1s this year in my rugby team. It may happen but I have to do tons of work and in a short time to get there. So it's very unlikely that would happen.

However, I can train at home and at the rugby park and use goals like stepping stones to get to my objective. It's better because I get to see my progress and if I fail to reach my objective this time around I can see which goals I'm struggling with and work to improve myself in that area.

So this mind set is what will make 2014 as successful or even more successful than 2013.

2013 Reconcile - What a Year!!!!!

Part 1

2013 Reconcile - What a Year!!!!!

Here is a list of some amazing events and my achievements.
Waaaaaaaaaaay back in January I passed my driving theory test. It was blood freezing that day in Glasgow lol.

Then I trained as a linebacker for the Dundee Hurricanes, which was brilliant!!! Then I got a chance at starting as the linebacker and I started and finished every game.
Also met my wondering girlfriend Jen in March, she's awesome!!!!
Then in June I passed my practical driving test :)

Then my brother’s stag do. Where I made new friends and made some great memories and lost a few too lol. Also made a fair exchange for my wallet and watch for some beads, don't ask lol!!!
Then in July got my 1st car around my birthday, which is awesome. J

Also in July my bro got married.

AUGUST & SEPTEMBER, two months which I believe changed my whole outlook on what fitness and training can do for you. It started in a game for Hurricanes where I was asked to play running back. I wasn't sure what I could do as I hadn't even looked at the offence's play book let alone trained with the offence. However once I was on the field it was such an amazing feeling to play running back again. I hadn't played it since 2009. Playing against Edinburgh was a great day, blocking the backing and this allowed Adam to run for a big gain. And the comments I got from my dad and brothers after the game, an awesome day.
Other favourite moment of the year for me was playing against Glasgow both ways. Linebacker and Running Back, never achieved that in my time playing until now. And Bruce at Quarter back and me as Running back, just like the good old days lol. Rushing for 83 yards and playing defence, an epic day. This was also the day I realise my body could take a lot more punishment and I decide to start playing rugby again.
I think it was the end of August or beginning of September I started playing rugby for Uddingston RFC. And at the end of September I think I scored my first try for Uddingston/Cambuslang 2s. Another great feeling, but this was down to finding a great team and great bunch of guys :).

See there is a trend building here for 2013 here, fitness and sports lol.

But the year was building to this moment in October. I was award the most improved player 2013 for the Dundee Hurricanes. I was very proud of myself for achieving that award and it continues to give me the motivation to carry on with my training at home, with the rugby team and American football team.
And in December 2013 I was put forward for promotion. This would be from test analyst to senior test analyst. And I have been informed recently that I got the promotion.

So as I close the door on 2013, how would I describe it? Life changing, no other year has changed my life in such a way as this one has. I met amazing people, I worked my ass off. I made an ass of myself (Stag do lol). But all in all I changed my life for the better.

And it's like a drug, hooked on wanting to achieve more and more.

I achieved so much, GOOD TIMES!!!!!!!
Now on too 2014, what else do I want to achieve. I already have my eyes on a few things so no slowing down now!!!!!
